In Stare Kaleńsko, a seasonal swimming area, several cycling routes and a specific place to stay come together. The Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji „Stare Kaleńsko“ is located in the woods by Lake Kaleńsko. When planning your trip, the main things to consider are the centre’s operating season and which route length best suits your stay.

Staying overnight and the season at the OSiR

The OSiR offers 80 to 110 overnight places in the main building and 120 places in holiday cottages. Capacity figures may change; ask the operator to confirm them before booking. The centre is open seasonally from April to October. Outside the season, it operates only for organised groups. Check the operating dates for your visit directly with the operator.

The leisure facilities are also for OSiR guests: these include a supervised swimming area, mini golf and a sauna, as well as rental of water sports equipment and touring bikes. Guests also have access to sports courts, a gym, billiards and an air rifle shooting range. If any of these facilities are important to your choice, ask the operator before booking whether they are currently available.

Swimming and cycling routes

There is a swimming area on the OSiR grounds by Lake Kaleńskie during the 2026 bathing season. This is a seasonal reference point for planning your trip; access is not guaranteed outside that bathing season. Guests can use the OSiR’s supervised swimming area.

The red „Drawa“ circular cycling route is 60.7 km long, starts and ends in Złocieniec, and passes through Bobrowo, Kaleńsko Górne, Nowe Kaleńsko, Stare Kaleńsko, Wrzoski and Siemczyno. A route description from 2019 gives this route; check current route conditions before setting off. A paved path also leads from Żelisławie through Stare Kaleńsko, where the green and black cycling routes run.

The approximately 46 km unmarked hiking and cycling route around Lake Drawsko is a different option. It combines existing hiking and cycling paths and runs from Czaplinek via Kołomąt, Stare Drawsko, Kuźnica Drawska, Kluczewo, Bolegorzyn, Warniłęg, Rzepowo, Głęboczek, Siemczyno, Żelisławie and Stare Kaleńsko, before returning to Czaplinek. Compared with the 60.7 km „Drawa“ circular route, it is around 15 km shorter; its unmarked nature is another important difference when choosing a tour.
