Przytoczna lies between Lake Przytoczono and Lake Nadolne. The origins of this comparatively large village date back to the 13th century. A Neo-Romanesque church, a Baroque manor house with a later wing, and a park of around ten hectares provide several architectural and landscape reference points in the history of the village. Three cycling routes measuring 18, 22.5 and 30 kilometres add a clear comparison of route lengths. Przytoczna thus combines a historical theme with a practical choice based on distance.

Church and manor house: distinct points in time

The Neo-Romanesque church in Przytoczna dates from 1870. Historically, there were three churches in the village: a Catholic, a Protestant and a New Apostolic church. Nearby stands the Baroque manor house from the second half of the 18th century. In the first half of the 20th century, a two-storey wing was added to it. The buildings can be distinguished by style and construction period: the church is Neo-Romanesque and dated to 1870, while the manor house is Baroque and received a later addition in the form of the wing. If you are interested in local history through its buildings, the dates take you from the village’s origins in the 13th century, through the 18th-century manor house, to changes in the 20th century.

Park and landscape history

A park of around ten hectares surrounds the manor house and was expanded into a landscape park at the beginning of the 20th century. The manor house received a two-storey wing in the first half of the 20th century. The park and the building therefore underwent different kinds of change: the development of the park into a landscape park, and the structural extension of the house. The dates also cover different periods: the park’s development is dated to the beginning of the century, while the house was extended in its first half. This makes it possible to consider the landscape history of the park alongside the architectural history of the manor house.

Compare cycling routes by distance

Three cycling routes offer a concrete comparison of their distances. Their colour designations and sequences of places distinguish the routes:

  • The red Przytoczna–DÄ™bĂłwko–OrĹ‚owce cycling route is 18 km long.
  • The green StoĹ‚uń–Lubikowo–Przytoczna–Nowa Niedrzwica–Krasne DĹ‚usko–Nowe DĹ‚usko cycling route covers 22.5 km.
  • The yellow Twierdzielewo–Rokitno–Przytoczna–Goraj–Strychy cycling route measures 30 km.

The red route is therefore the shortest of the three listed, and the yellow one the longest; the green route, at 22.5 km, falls in between. There are twelve kilometres between the shortest and longest routes. The distances provide a simple basis for comparing the planned route lengths, while the place names distinguish their respective courses. Before setting off, check the markings and current availability of the routes locally.
