Hiking and cycling routes run through Lubikowo; Jezioro Lubikowskie lies southwest of the village. This gives you two distinct focuses to consider when planning your trip: routes through Lubikowo and the nearby lake with the protected landscape on Konwaliowa Island. If you are considering Lubikowo as a place to stay, you can weigh up whether hiking and cycling or the lake and its surroundings are a better fit for your stay.
Hiking trails through Lubikowo
The blue hiking trail runs through Lubikowo between Trzciel, Pszczew, Szarcz, Brzeźno, Gorzycko Stare and Międzychód. The green hiking trail also passes through Lubikowo and runs from Jordanowo via Bobowicko, Kuligowo and Stołuń. The different sequences of places can help you distinguish between the two hiking trails when planning.

Cycling routes and distances
The international E-11 cycling route runs through Lubikowo between Międzyrzecz and Międzychód. Along the way, it passes through Stołuń, Folwark Helena, Brzeźno, Wierzbno and Gorzycko Stare. The named places give an overview of this section of the route.
Two colour-coded cycling routes also pass through Lubikowo: the green route runs from Stołuń to Nowe Dłusko and is listed as 22.5 km long. The black route runs from Kalsko to Krobielewo and covers 18.8 km. The green route is therefore 3.7 km longer than the black one; their different endpoints also help with orientation.
Signage and maintenance on the routes may change; the precise course of the E-11 may also vary. Check the current markings and route before setting out.
Jezioro Lubikowskie and its shores
Jezioro Lubikowskie lies southwest of Lubikowo. It covers approximately 314.7 ha and is up to 36 m deep. Its exceptionally firm, sandy bottom and gently sloping banks make it suitable for relaxing on the beach and swimming. The sandy lakebed and shallows extending up to 150 m from the shore provide suitable conditions for windsurfing. The lake lies within the protected zone of Pszczew Landscape Park; its waters are under special protection.
Konwaliowa Island and nature conservation
In the southeastern part of the lake lies the 4.4 ha Konwaliowa Island, a forest and landscape protection area and a nature reserve. It protects a natural stand of old oak trees, the plant community associated with it, and a valuable landscape with extensive reed beds. The reeds serve as a nesting site for waterbirds. Erratic boulders more than two metres in diameter lie along the island’s shallow northern shore.
A white-tailed eagle often visits the island to rest or prepare to hunt. This makes the island interesting not only for its protected vegetation and shoreline landscape, but also for travellers interested in birds and natural habitats.
Choosing when to visit and where to stay
Sailing regattas are held on Jezioro Lubikowskie every year on the last weekend of August. If you want to plan your trip around this event, check the specific dates in advance. When choosing a holiday apartment, you can also consider whether you would rather focus on the routes through Lubikowo or the lake to the southwest.
