Parque de las Esculturas in Cuautitlán Izcalli is home to 17 monumental works by Mexican sculptor Charlotte Yazbek. The sculptures were permanently installed in the park in 1976, making it one of the few open-air museums dedicated to the work of a single sculptor. This clear artistic focus gives the place a distinctive character.

La Troje is also now located in Parque de las Esculturas. In the 19th century, it belonged to Hacienda de la Venta. Its history adds a historical connection to the park without requiring the building itself to be dated to that century.
The Centro Regional de Cultura de Cuautitlán Izcalli was cited in the 2022–2024 municipal tourism program as an example of a cultural-tourism offering. Espejo de los Lirios is a municipal nature reserve in Cuautitlán Izcalli covering 487,407.31 square meters. Its management plan includes, among other things, promoting ecotourism. A 2025 municipal report also lists an area for a bike path in Parque Espejo de los Lirios. If you are planning a bike ride, check its current condition in advance.
Parque Estatal Santuario del Agua y Forestal Presa Guadalupe is located in the municipalities of Cuautitlán Izcalli and Nicolás Romero in the State of Mexico. Laguna de Axotlán is a body of water within Parque Estatal para la Protección y Fomento del Santuario del Agua Laguna de Zumpango. The two names refer to different protected areas; the lagoon is classified as a body of water within the latter area.
A 2018 conservation notice describes swimming, fishing, and travel by motorboat or rowboat at Presa Guadalupe as risky or discouraged because of currents and mud. Check local conditions before visiting. Parque Ecológico Pichardo Pagaza is associated with the protection of natural resources and water resources; 10,000 trees were planted there.
