It stands on a prominent Serra hilltop at an elevation of 408 metres. The Castro is therefore associated not only with Galegos but also with Oldrões. The Centro Interpretativo do Castro de Monte Mozinho opened in 2004 and is a museological space belonging to the Museu Municipal de Penafiel. This gives travellers two distinct points of interest to consider: the settlement itself and its place within the municipal museum.

Documented editions of the Festival Moura Encantada

The July 2023 edition of the Festival Moura Encantada included walks and traditional games. At one documented edition, the festival featured music, crafts and local cuisine. A 2019 programme listed guided tours of the Castro de Monte Mozinho at 11:30 and 17:00. The same documented programme included a performance of Queimada Galega in the Castro de Mozinho picnic area.
