Nowa Studnica can be explored through its varied landscapes: the Korytnica canoe route passes the settlement, while a black hiking trail connects it with Tuczno. Nearby lakes and a manor park offer additional perspectives. This gives you concrete differences to consider when planning your trip: a water route, a forest connection and a historic park.
The Korytnica canoe route to Lake Studnickie
After 7.2 kilometres on the Korytnica canoe route, you pass the settlement of Nowa Studnica on your left. It lies above a complex of peat meadows; you can reach Lake Studnickie by crossing these meadows. The lake has low, vegetated shores. This section can therefore be understood in terms of three distinct features: the settlement, the peat meadow complex and the lake. This is particularly useful if, on a canoe trip, you are interested not only in the water itself but also in how the landscape changes along the way.
Four small lakes and the surrounding forests
Four small lakes lie in the vicinity of Nowa Studnica: Studnickie, Czarne, Lubicz Mały and Lubicz Wielki. The lakes and surrounding area are set amid picturesque forests. Lake Studnickie has an additional point of reference in the description of the Korytnica route: you can reach it by crossing the peat meadows. The other three lakes round out the group of nearby waters, so your view of the landscape need not be limited to a single lake. When planning, you can therefore break down your options into two questions: Would you like to consider Lake Studnickie as the destination of the route described, or are you interested in the wider lake surroundings as a landscape destination in their own right?
Forest trail between Tuczno and Nowa Studnica
A black hiking trail connects Tuczno and Nowa Studnica and runs through the forests of the Tuczno Forest District. The difference between two ways of experiencing the area is clear: the Korytnica canoe route is a water-based option that follows the described route to Lake Studnickie; the black trail is a forest connection between the two places. If you plan to hike this trail, check the current trail markings before setting out.
The manor park as a historic highlight
The manor park in Nowa Studnica was laid out in the second half of the 19th century and covers 2.80 hectares. Unlike the lakes and hiking trail, the focus here is on the date of a specific site’s creation: the park offers a historical perspective on the settlement’s history. An older municipal document described the manor park as well maintained and in good repair. If you plan to visit the park, check in advance on current visiting arrangements and its condition.
Accommodation and horse-related activities
For accommodation, a municipal profile lists the “Landau” guesthouse in Nowa Studnica, at a stud farm with various horse breeds; horseback riding and carriage rides are listed among the activities on offer. Before making your decision, ask whether the guesthouse and rides are available on your dates, and whether horseback riding or carriage rides are available without an overnight stay.
