Pasym offers a range of highlights for a stay: local history, a landscape shaped by lakes and forests, and activities on the water and by bike. The Evangelical-Augsburg church houses a parish museum and is the venue for a summer concert series. The town hall stands on the market square; other sights include fragments of medieval fortification walls, the Dzika PlaĹĽa swimming area on Lake Kalwa and a yellow-marked cycling loop.

Church, Market Square and Local History

The sacristy of the Evangelical-Augsburg church houses the parish museum. Its collections include liturgical vessels, coats of arms of former town guilds and old books connected with parish life. The objects offer a range of perspectives, from liturgical use and former guilds to community life. The church also hosts a summer concert series featuring organ music every year. If you are travelling for a concert in summer, check the specific dates in advance so you can include this seasonal programme in your plans.

The town hall stands in the middle of the market square and was built in 1855. Its design is modelled on Babelsberg Palace, and the building is in the English Gothic Revival style. Fragments of medieval fortification walls dating from the second half of the 15th century have also been preserved in Pasym. The water tower in the town park was built in 1910–1911. Together, these buildings and fragments offer a comparison across time: the fortifications point to the late Middle Ages, while the water tower is an early 20th-century structure.

Film shoots are another cultural connection to the town. Exterior scenes for the series “Dom nad rozlewiskiem” and “Miłość nad rozlewiskiem” were filmed in Pasym’s narrow streets and along its lake shores, as well as at the Pajtuński Młyn location. This location lies halfway along the cycling route.

Lake Kalwa and the Cycling Loop

The Dzika PlaĹĽa swimming area is in Pasym on Lake Kalwa. Its shoreline is 35 metres long; the lake is up to 31.7 metres deep there and averages 7 metres in depth. The area is used for recreation and has a bathing pier. Facilities and operating conditions may change, so check the current status of the swimming area before your visit.

Pasym is shaped by lakes and forests. Dzika Plaża offers a particular connection to the water, while the cycling route is another way to plan an outing in the surrounding area. The yellow-marked route forms a 35-kilometre loop through the municipalities of Pasym and Purda, starting and ending in Pasym. At this distance, the loop stands as a cycling highlight in its own right, distinct from the town’s cultural attractions. The Pajtuński Młyn location lies halfway along the route.

Getting Here and Finding a Hotel

For orientation when travelling to Pasym, the town is on national road DK53 between Olsztyn and Ostrołęka. Pasym railway station is on the Olsztyn–Szczytno line, 3 kilometres from the town centre. These are two separate points of reference for planning your journey. If you are travelling by train, take the distance between the station and the centre into account and check the specific connections separately.

The seasonal concert series and the 35-kilometre cycling loop also involve different levels of planning.
