Gościniec lies on two green cycling routes: one passes through the village on its way from Chęciny to Miedzianka, while the other is named Szlakiem Rycerstwa Zamku Królewskiego. A shared walking and cycling path connects Gościniec with Polichno. The Góra Miedzianka nature reserve is also nearby.

Cycling: Route Distances and Itineraries

The 11.5-kilometre green cycling route runs from Chęciny via Plac Żeromskiego (Dolny Rynek), Skiby, Gościniec, Polichno and Charężów to Miedzianka. The also-green Szlakiem Rycerstwa Zamku Królewskiego route passes through Gościniec and is 23 kilometres long. These two distances can help you compare the planned length of a cycling trip; the sequence of places on the first route and the name of the second provide different points of reference. A regional inventory based on the 2022 cycling route plan lists the 23-kilometre route as fully paved. Surfaces may change. Check the current surface and route conditions before setting out.

Walking or Cycling to Polichno

A municipal report dated 21 August 2025 describes a shared walking and cycling path connecting Gościniec, in the area around the school, with Polichno. The path is used for walking and cycling. Unlike the two green cycling routes, this path focuses on the connection between Gościniec and Polichno and its use on foot and by bike. This offers another point of reference if you would like to include this connection in your trip planning alongside longer routes.

Góra Miedzianka Nature Reserve

The Góra Miedzianka nature reserve is located near Gościniec. Established in 1958, it covers 25 hectares and lies within Chęcińsko-Kielecki Landscape Park. A yellow hiking trail and a blue cycling route run along the reserve; trail markings may change. Access to the nature reserve is from the Kielce–Małogoszcz road, heading towards Skiby, Gościniec and Polichno, as far as the village of Miedzianka.

September Commemorations and Bus Connections

Commemorative ceremonies organised by the Municipality and Town of Chęciny are held every September at the Pomnik Lotników in Gościniec. They honour the pilots, instructors and graduates of the glider school who fought and fell during the Second World War. The programme includes flight displays, performances by pupils from the school in Polichno, and a memorial Mass for the fallen. If you are travelling in September, check the specific event date in advance.

A municipal announcement about routes introduced in 2023 listed a bus connection from Chęciny via Polichno to Gościniec. The stops listed were Gościniec (Skiby) and Gościniec (Przysiółek). The timetable at the time listed eight services on the route between Gościniec and Chęciny. Check current connections and departure times before travelling.
