Stalowa Wola reveals itself through a range of discoveries: the approximately five-kilometre-long “Ciemny Kąt” nature trail runs through managed forests within the city limits. Cultural sites tell the story of Rozwadów and showcase historic buildings from different periods. This lets you explore nature, local history and architecture as distinct themes of your trip.
Nature trail and themed routes
The “Ciemny Kąt” nature trail offers access to the managed forests within the city. It is approximately five kilometres long. If you are more interested in architecture, the Szlak Architektury Drewnianej (Wooden Architecture Trail) also passes through Stalowa Wola. The city is also on the Turystyczny Szlak Gniazd Rodowych Lubomirskich (Lubomirski Family Nests Tourist Trail). Rozwadów and Stalowa Wola’s architectural history
Since 2002, the main branch of the Muzeum Regionalne w Stalowej Woli has been housed in the 18th-century Zamek Lubomirskich. The permanent exhibition “Stacja Rozwadów. Między Lwowem a Krakowem” is devoted to the history of the former town of Rozwadów, now a district of Stalowa Wola. Other buildings also bring the area’s architectural history to life in different ways. The parish church complex of Saint Florian at 5 Floriańska Street includes a wooden church and a freestanding bell tower. The complex was entered in the register under number A-203 on 24 April 2007. The Galeria Malarstwa Alfonsa Karpińskiego is housed in a listed former courthouse built in 1905.
Another historic landmark is the building of the Rozwadowski Dom Kultury “Sokół”. The town’s residents donated it to the Towarzystwo Gimnastyczne “Sokół” in 1906. Today, the Rozwadowski Dom Kultury “Sokół” is a branch of the Miejski Dom Kultury in Stalowa Wola and organises cultural education programmes and events. Cultural activities and a market visit
The Muzeum Regionalne w Stalowej Woli offers guided educational tours in the city for groups of at least ten people. Ask about reservations and fees in advance when planning your visit.
The Rozwadowski Targ Staroci is another way to include a cultural outing in your travel plans. For the published 2026 season, the market is scheduled for every third Sunday of the month, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Before travelling, check whether it is taking place during the current season. The market is directly accessible by local public transport or the city bike rental service. Admission is free for people who intend to buy something there.
Paths and outdoor recreation
Błonia Nadsańskie has kilometres of paths for pedestrians and cyclists; bikes are also available for hire there. Check whether the rental service is operating before your visit. There is also a barbecue area at Błonia. It can be reserved free of charge through the Miejski Zakład Budynków in Stalowa Wola by calling 15 643 36 90 or emailing biuro@mzb-stalowa.pl. Check the reservation details in advance, as they may change.
Zimnej Wody Park has a skatepark, a pump track and a roller-skating rink. If you intend to use a particular facility, check its current status in advance, as individual facilities may change. The various options offer different ways to enjoy your time outdoors.
Indoor swimming pool at a glance
The indoor swimming pool has three pools: two measuring 25 m × 12.5 m each, and a learning pool measuring 12.5 m × 6 m. There is also a 64 m enclosed waterslide with a splashdown area and two saunas, one dry and one steam. The specific dimensions distinguish the pool options; the slide and saunas add further leisure facilities to the pool’s offerings.
