Łobozew Dolny brings together natural monuments and traces of its manor house landscape. The village lies in the valley of the Łoboźnica stream, between the Żuków range, which reaches 742 m, and the Jawor Massif, which rises to 741 m. The two maximum elevations mentioned are almost identical: the difference between them is just one metre. Natural monuments and the manor house connection are two clear themes to consider when planning your trip.
Natural Monuments and Park Remnants
Beside the primary school, an English oak and a small-leaved lime are registered as natural monuments. The oak has a circumference of 480 cm, is 19 m tall, and is about 400 years old. The small-leaved lime has a circumference of 360 cm, reaches 21 m, and is also estimated to be about 400 years old. Compared directly, the oak has the larger circumference, while the lime is taller; their estimated ages are similar.
Remnants of the former manor house park have been preserved around the manor house in Łobozew Dolny. These include old birches, maples, hornbeams, and Norway spruces; large-leaved limes and English oaks there are classified as natural monuments. Alongside the individual trees beside the primary school, visitors can also see preserved parts of an earlier park landscape. The natural heritage is therefore evident both in individual protected trees and in the setting of the former park.
Manor House History and Activities
The manor house in Łobozew was built of masonry for the Leszczyński family at the end of the 19th century. The Active Tourism Centre is housed in a historic building that was formerly a primary school. An opening report from March 2023 presented the Centre as a sports and recreation complex designed to operate year-round. Its facilities were aimed primarily at excursions and groups wishing to spend their time actively in nature. Before planning your visit, check which facilities are currently available and whether a visit is possible.
