In and around Bystre, winter sports, hiking trails, nature and culture offer a range of ways to spend your stay. The BaligrĂłd municipality describes Bystre as its most important tourism centre. The options offer different highlights: at Bystre Ski, two runs differ in length, colour and intended user group; trails also lead to named destinations, while nature reserves and a memorial plaque add to the picture. To plan your visit, it is worth choosing your main focus first: skiing, hiking, or nature and culture.
Ski slopes with different profiles
At Bystre Ski, you can choose between two runs with clearly different profiles: the blue run is about 400 metres long and intended for beginners or children; the red run is about 800 metres long, FIS-homologated and intended for advanced skiers. In direct comparison, the red run is approximately twice as long as the blue one; length and intended user group give you concrete criteria for choosing. The ski slope is on the south side of Mount Dzidowa. This mountain lies on the boundary of the Ciśniańsko-Wetliński Landscape Park. There is a grill bar below the lift.
Hiking trails and destinations
The hiking trails differ in their routes and destinations. The green-marked “Na Chryszczatą” trail leads from Bystre or Wisan to Chryszczata. Nearby, the approximately 3.5-kilometre-long educational trail runs through the valley of the Rabskiego Potok. It begins just behind the “Bystre” holiday centre and ends at a forest track towards Jeziorko Bobrowe. The educational trail runs through the valley and ends at the forest track; the green-marked trail leads to Chryszczata. Conditions on the educational trail may change, while conditions on the green-marked trail may vary depending on the season. Check trail conditions before setting out.
Nature conservation in and around Bystre
The “Cisy na Górze Jawor” nature reserve is located in Bystre and covers 3.02 hectares. Towards Rabe is the nearby “Gołoborze” nature reserve, which can be reached from Bystre in that direction and has a nature trail. The locations distinguish the two nature destinations: “Cisy na Górze Jawor” is in Bystre, while “Gołoborze” is in the surrounding area. At the second reserve, the nature trail adds a specific hiking element to the nature experience.
A cultural point of interest
The memorial plaque to Aleksander Fredro is located on the road from ORW Bystre towards Rabe. It adds a cultural and historical point of reference to the skiing and nature themes. If you would like to include a local place of remembrance alongside outdoor activities, the plaque offers a distinct cultural highlight.
You can also choose your focus based on location: some destinations are in Bystre, while others are nearby. This lets you distinguish between places in the destination itself and those in the surrounding area when planning your trip.
