Łysiny offers several clearly distinct points of interest for planning a trip: the parish church of Najświętszego Serca Pana Jezusa, a section of the Warsaw-Praga Pilgrimage, the Ludwinów Nature Trail and the “Wschodnie Śląskie” cycling loop. The routes differ considerably in length and type. First decide whether the church and pilgrimage stage, the nature trail or cycling should shape your stay, then tailor your choice of activities and your search for a holiday apartment to your travel plans.

Church and pilgrimage stage

The parish church of Najświętszego Serca Pana Jezusa in Łysiny was built between 1930 and 1933. The parish of the same name is a rural Roman Catholic parish. The 7.3-kilometre walking section of the Warsaw-Praga Pilgrimage leads from Borzykowa to the church. The exact division into stages may vary between editions, so base your specific plans on the relevant edition. The church is therefore not only a building with a clearly defined construction period, but also the explicitly stated destination of this walking stage. Those interested in church and parish history or pilgrimage routes will find different points of interest to inform their travel decisions.

Nature trail by the forest

The Ludwinów Nature Trail is about 3.5 kilometres long and was established in 2022. It runs through a forest bordering Łysiny directly. There are 12 information boards along the trail, as well as small-scale infrastructure and a designated parking area. Compared with the 7.3-kilometre pilgrimage section, the nature trail is the shorter option based on the stated distances. This means a nature trail in the adjacent forest and a walking stage from Borzykowa to the church are available as distinct options. Infrastructure and local conditions may change; check the latest information before your visit.

Cycling route and route choice

The “Wschodnie Śląskie” cycling loop covers 84 kilometres and passes through Łysiny, which lies at kilometre 26 of the route. A description published in 2025 of a ride recorded in 2023 states that 87 percent of the route is on asphalt public roads; the remaining sections follow field and forest tracks. This makes it possible to assess both the overall distance and the described mix of surfaces. As road and trail conditions can change, it is advisable to check the latest conditions before setting out. At 84 kilometres, the full loop is considerably longer than the nature trail and the individual pilgrimage stage. For trip planning, it therefore represents a different distance category from the two walking options.

A regional look at the water trail

In the wider region around Łysiny, the Szczekociny–Mniszew Pilica water trail passes through Koniecpol. Its difficulty is rated CL I, with sections rated CL II. This is a separate regional planning option alongside the local points of interest relating to the church and nature trail. If you include water trails in your selection, take both stated difficulty ratings into account.

Getting there and finding accommodation

A 2025 transport listing includes bus route 142 as a connection between Koniecpol, Łysiny, Łabędź, Soborzyce and Dąbrowa Zielona. Check whether the route is currently operating before travelling. When searching for a holiday apartment, first decide which focus should shape your stay: the church and its pilgrimage stage, the nature trail or the cycling loop.
