Visitors who want to take architectural history and archaeology into account when choosing a destination will find several clearly distinct themes in Dąbrówno: a Neo-Gothic palace, a half-timbered house, former buildings with other uses, a historic cemetery with a chapel, and archaeological sites. There is also a modernised recreation area project near the village community hall. The differences lie in architectural style, period and current use—useful points of reference for tailoring your stay to your cultural interests. The architecture can be compared by building type and date; the sites represent a distinct archaeological focus.

Architectural heritage in different forms

The palace in Dąbrówno is a substantial Neo-Gothic building dating from the second half of the 19th century. The gardener’s house at Dąbrówno 8 is a half-timbered building from the early 20th century, listed as a historic monument. Together, these two houses illustrate different architectural styles and the shift from the 19th century to the early 20th century. The former administrator’s house at Dąbrówno 10 is a substantial building from the early 20th century, listed as a historic monument, and is now used as a residence. The former school at Dąbrówno 18 is also included in the municipal historic preservation programme for 2025–2028 and is now used as a residence. Together, the two addresses offer a concrete glimpse of the transition from former administrative and educational uses to residential use.

Cemetery and archaeological sites

A historic cemetery with a chapel is located on plots 127/2 and 127/7 in Dąbrówno. The cemetery and chapel add a distinct historic site to the architectural examples.

Archaeological site 146 is described in greater detail: it comprises a settlement as well as megalithic, barrow and flat-grave cemeteries. These different elements make it more than a single burial find. The site is associated with the Rzucewo culture, the Globular Amphora culture, the Funnel Beaker culture, the Lusatian culture (II–III EB) and the Pomeranian culture. Its cultural classification therefore extends beyond a single cultural label.

Site 147 is different: it is recorded as a possible megalithic cemetery of the Funnel Beaker culture. The interpretation is explicitly tentative; unlike site 146, the focus here is on a single cautious interpretation rather than a broader combination of a settlement and several types of burial site.
