Kluczbork Town Hall and the surviving section of townhouses known as the “dwunastu apostołów” form a block of buildings in the heart of the historic townscape. There are also two Quest routes and several named trails of varying distances, from 1 km to a 44 km route. The townscape, puzzles and trail lengths offer different ways to experience Kluczbork as a travel destination.

Townscape and Quest Routes

The Quest route “Spacerkiem przez Kluczbork” leads through interesting parts of the town; participants can expect puzzles and surprises along the way. The second Quest route, “Klucz do Kluczborka. Wyprawa przez wieki”, presents the history and attractions of Kluczbork, as well as the town’s links with beekeeping. The two routes therefore focus on different things: playful challenges on the one hand, and history, attractions and beekeeping on the other. If you would like to give your visit a particular theme, you can take these differences into account when planning.

Marked Leisure Trails

Three marked and signposted leisure trails are intended for runners, cyclists, Nordic walkers and people out for a stroll. They are 1, 5 and 10 km long; the two longer ones are called “Kluczborska Piątka” and “Kluczborska Dycha”. Their lengths range from a short 1 km trail to 10 km, making it easy to compare them by distance. Check trail conditions locally before setting out.

Longer Trails and Their Listed Places

Other named trails include five routes with their own colours, names and lists of places:

  • The 44 km yellow trail, “Szlakiem dawnego rzemiosła i pomników przyrody”, passes through Kluczbork, Kuniów, Bażany, Borkowice, Zameczek, Bogacica, Smardy, Krzywizna and Łowkowice.
  • The 20.7 km black trail passes through Bogacia, Kluczbork, Kujakowice Dolne, Biadacz and Bąków.
  • The 15.5 km green trail passes through Smardy Górne, Kluczbork, Camping Bąków and Bąków.
  • The 20.5 km blue trail passes through Łowkowice, Kluczbork and Lasowice Małe.
  • The 40 km red trail, “Gościnne zagrody”, passes through Kluczbork, Bąków, Brzezinka, Biadacz, Maciejów and Łowkowice.

In terms of length, the yellow trail at 44 km and the red trail at 40 km are the longest of the five. The black trail at 20.7 km and the blue trail at 20.5 km are almost the same length, while the green trail is shorter at 15.5 km. Kluczbork appears on all five lists; the other places named differ. You can use both the length and the listed places as concrete points of comparison. Before setting out on the longer trails, check the current waymarking locally.
