Wine tours, historic lanes and a waymarked circular hike offer different ways to enjoy your stay in Vinsobres. If you are interested in winegrowing, you can explore producer experiences and tastings; in the village, the programme also includes a walk through the historic centre and information about the history of the Temple de Vinsobres.

Experience and taste local wines

For 2026, Domaine Saint Vincent is offering a tour focusing on winegrowing and winemaking. It includes the winemaking cellar, the barrel cellar and techniques for ageing red, white and rosé wines. The tour therefore focuses on both the production process and different types of wine. The programme also includes a wine and cheese workshop with a tasting of four selected cheeses, aged by Fromagerie Lou Canesteou in Vaison-la-Romaine. Booking conditions may change, so check them in advance.

Another place offering wine-related experiences is Cave La Vinsobraise, which offers wine tastings, vineyard tours and musical evenings throughout the year. These complement the cellar tour and workshop with activities focused on different things. La Nuit du Vinsobres, meanwhile, brings wine together with village life: this recurring wine festival takes place in the lanes. The sixth edition in 2026 included wine tastings, a menu paired with wine, a market for regional products, musical performances and food trucks. Future dates and programmes may change; check for updates if you plan your trip around the festival.

Explore the historic centre on foot

A walk through the historic centre takes in places including the Temple de Vinsobres, the Tour de Paris and Rue du Tripot. The Temple was formerly a parish church called “du prieuré” and overlooks the old village from a hill above the vineyards. Information about the Temple is displayed at its entrance; you can get the key from the Petit Bistro in the village of Vinsobres.

These stops give the village walk a historical focus, while the wine experiences offer a different perspective on Vinsobres. If you want to combine the two, you can treat the walk and a wine experience as separate activities rather than following a set itinerary. This leaves room to plan your stay around your own interests.

Scavenger hunt and archery

The Jeu de piste de Vinsobres is a family-friendly treasure hunt in the historic centre. There are three versions of the riddles for children aged 4 to 12: one for ages 4–6, one for ages 7–9 and one for ages 9–12. You can take part year-round during tourist office opening hours. The different versions give families a practical way to combine exploring the village with an activity suited to their children’s ages.

At ESN – Tir à l’Arc, you can try archery in the countryside. The activity takes place on a shaded, equipped site and includes either a fun introduction or a forest nature course with different targets. The two formats offer different experiences: an introduction or shooting along a course. The listing was updated in January 2026.

Hike with a time-limited closure

Les bornes papales is a waymarked, moderately difficult circular hike that starts and ends in Vinsobres. The route is 17.91 kilometres long, has 385 metres of positive elevation gain and takes an indicated 5 hours and 14 minutes. It passes through forests, vineyards and lavender fields to the former boundaries of the papal lands of the Eclave des Papes, marked by stone boundary markers.

There is a time-limited restriction to consider when planning: a hiking information update in August 2026 noted that the route had been inaccessible since 16 July 2026, until further notice, because forest areas in the municipality of Vinsobres had been closed by the authorities. Before planning a visit, check whether the closure is still in effect. While the status remains uncertain, do not plan the circular hike as a confirmed activity.
