Loubejac can be explored from several perspectives: the Circuit de Loubéjac–Courty passes through woodland, orchards and fields; the Église de la Nativité de Notre-Dame stands above the Aveyron; and there is a public section at Plage de Loubéjac. You can therefore plan your stay around outdoor activities, architectural history or a visit to the Aveyron. The different conditions are important when planning: the walking trail is a clearly defined activity, the public section is accessible on foot only, and the church offers historical and architectural points of interest.

Walking trail with views over the Aveyron Valley

The Circuit de Loubéjac–Courty is a 5.8-kilometre circular trail linking Loubéjac and Lamothe-Capdeville. It starts at the car park in Loubéjac. The route passes over gentle ascents and descents through woodland, orchards and fields; it can be used on foot or by mountain bike. At its highest point, there is a viewpoint over the Aveyron Valley. The distance, changes in elevation and scenery give you concrete points of reference for assessing the route as an outing. You can tackle it on foot or by mountain bike; the choice affects how you get around, while the route and the scenery described remain the same.

The Église de la Nativité: building history and bell tower

The Église de la Nativité de Notre-Dame de Loubéjac stands above the Aveyron at the foot of the château. It was completed in 1849, blessed on 18 November of that year, and made the parish church the following year. Its bell tower has a square porch open on three sides. Above it rises a small octagonal tower; the spire has dormer windows. Octagonal means having eight sides, clearly distinguishing the shape of the upper tower from the square floor plan of the porch. Dormer windows are small roof structures set into the spire. The sequence from the open porch to the octagonal tower and then the spire gives the building a clearly articulated form. Those interested in historic architecture can observe the different building elements and how they are arranged.

Public section at Plage de Loubéjac

The public section of Plage de Loubéjac on the Aveyron is reached via a municipal path that is accessible on foot only. The access point is 130 metres from the specified location. Allow for the walk when you arrive and check access on site before making firm plans to visit.
