Walking in L'honor-De-Cos can be combined with architectural and agricultural history: the Circuit de Gibelot passes through valleys and hills with orchards and woodland, offering views of dovecotes and traditional Quercy buildings. Two routes with clearly different distances, elevation gains and durations are available to help you choose your walk.

Walking trails for different time budgets

Marked PR walking trails cross L'honor-De-Cos and pass through the slopes and valleys of the commune. Before setting out, check the current route, trail markings and path conditions.

The Circuit de Gibelot is 12 kilometres long, climbs 281 metres and takes approximately three hours. Suitable for families, this walking trail starts at the Church of Saint-Saturnin in Aussac. Along the way, you can see the Ferme Daynes, a farmstead with two different dovecotes dating from the 16th century. The route winds between valleys and hills through orchards and woodland, with views of dovecotes and traditional Quercy buildings along the way.

The Circuit de Rossignol links Léribosc and Belpech through green landscapes where orchards alternate with wooded areas. This walking trail is also considered suitable for families; at 6.5 kilometres, with 161 metres of elevation gain and a duration of approximately two hours, it is shorter in both distance and time than the Circuit de Gibelot. Distance, elevation gain and estimated duration therefore give you concrete points of comparison when planning.

Church history and architectural styles

The parish church of Saint-Etienne stands in Léribosc. Its predecessor was destroyed during the Wars of Religion around 1622; the church was rebuilt in the 17th century. A north chapel was added in the 19th century. The floor plan is in the shape of a Latin cross, the side chapels have rib vaults, and the fittings include stained glass and paintings. The different building phases make the church a vivid example of the long development of sacred architecture in the area.

The starting point of the Circuit de Gibelot also has a historical connection: the Church of Saint-Saturnin in Aussac dates from the 14th century. The walk also takes in the Ferme Daynes and its two 16th-century dovecotes. The route thus combines landscape views with specific buildings from different periods, without requiring a separate sightseeing itinerary.

Fruit varieties and local produce

The municipal fruit-variety preservation garden was established in 2005. It covers just under three hectares, lies on a steep slope and is home to more than 300 heritage fruit varieties. Its size and collection give the garden its own agricultural dimension, while the slope is another defining feature of the site.

Farm-fresh products sold directly include strawberries, asparagus, cherries, peaches, apples and Chasselas grapes, as well as geese and fattened ducks. This type of sales is widespread among most producers. Individual vendors and product availability may vary, so do not plan around a specific offering.

Sports and cultural activities

The City Stade is located near the Léribosc community hall. The commune reported that the facility was completed in December 2025. It includes a playing field and a running track for handball, badminton, tennis, football tennis, football, basketball and volleyball. The City Stade is listed as freely accessible and accessible to people with reduced mobility; check access before your visit.

The Les artistes à L’Honor association organises painting workshops and art exhibitions. If you plan to take part in one of these activities, check the dates in advance. This adds an organised opportunity to engage with local painting to the area’s walking and architectural heritage.
