Arradon combines 15 kilometres of coastline with forests and rural areas. If you are looking for a destination where the coast, water sports and cultural sites come together, you will find a range of options here. When choosing where to stay, you can consider whether you would rather focus on the landscape and beaches, nautical activities or architectural and local history.

Coast, Landscape and Beaches

The varied landscape includes not only forests and rural areas, but also natural spaces, paths, viewpoints, heathland and streams. Together with its 15 kilometres of coastline, this offers a broader landscape experience than a beach-only stay. Kerbilouët is one of Arradon’s three main beaches. Its name is a useful reference point if you are specifically looking for a beach destination.

The natural areas offer a different focus from the coast: paths, viewpoints, heathland and streams are also part of the local landscape. This means you can discover Arradon not only through maritime activities, but also through its varied natural features. Which of these matters most for your stay depends on whether you would like to focus more on beaches, rural areas or natural spaces.

Nautical Activities and Regatta

The town’s nautical activities are concentrated at La Carrière, at Pointe d’Arradon. There you will find a slipway, a marina for boats stopping at anchor, a sailing school, facilities for sailboats and motorboats, kayaks and a harbour master’s office. The facilities range from boat services to a sailing school and kayaks. If you plan to use any of them, check the current arrangements before travelling, as facilities and operators may change.

The Catagolfe, a catamaran regatta, takes place every year in the waters of Arradon in the Gulf of Morbihan. It offers a reason to plan your visit around a water-sports event. Dates and programmes may vary, so check the information for the relevant year if the regatta is a deciding factor in your plans.

Chapels, Architecture and Maritime History

The Chapelle du Bourg dates from the 15th century and is now a cultural venue hosting exhibitions and concerts throughout the year. The Chapelle Saint-Martin au Moustoir offers a different connection between architecture and local history: the chapel is surrounded by several Iron Age standing stones. The Pardon de Saint Martin takes place at the Chapelle Saint-Martin au Moustoir every year around mid-November.

This creates a clear difference when planning your visit: the Chapelle du Bourg is used for cultural events throughout the year, while the Pardon takes place around mid-November. The Chapelle Sainte-Barbe dates from the second half of the 16th century. The Château de Kerran also adds a distinctive architectural feature: its Renaissance façade can be viewed from a footpath along the outer wall of the park.

The first Guépard, an emblematic boat of the Gulf of Morbihan, is part of the area’s maritime history. It was built more than 50 years ago by Etienne Riguidel, a furniture maker from Arradon. This historical connection complements today’s nautical activities with the story of a specific boat and its local builder.

Getting There and Seasonal Activities

In summer, a free shuttle connects the car park at Gymnase Henri Le Rohellec with Port d’Arradon. As the shuttle is seasonal, check its operating hours and timetable in advance. Arradon is also served by Line 4, which runs from Arradon Town Hall via central Vannes to Saint-Avé. Routes can also change, so checking the latest information for your travel dates is helpful.

Horse Riding in Arradon

Another activity is available at the Poulprince site, an area dedicated to equestrian sports, where horse riding is possible at all levels. The range of activities therefore includes horse riding as well as the coast, water and heritage.
