The “Malaussanne: Du moulin” circular walk focuses on waterways and a former mill; Église Saint-André draws attention to architectural history. Both themes offer practical points of reference for planning: a very easy walk with a stated walking time, and a church with a rectangular, elongated ground plan and Gothic architectural features.

The mill walk and its waterways

The “Malaussanne: Du moulin” circular walk is 7.5 kilometres long. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes on foot and is rated “very easy”. The route is suitable for families and all types of visitors.

The path follows the Goua de Bedat stream, also called Larruton, which flows into the Baillé stream. Nearby, the route leads to the Moulin de Baillé and its pond in Mant. The former mill ceased operating in the 1950s and had two millstones. Along with the walking distance, the stream, pond and mill give the route a scenic and historical dimension.

Riding lessons and trail rides

Le Carrousel Aquitain offers classical riding lessons for individuals, small groups and groups. Trail rides in the surrounding area are also available. If you are choosing between the options, the difference is clear: lesson format is determined by group size, while a trail ride offers a different kind of riding experience. The activities therefore appeal to different interests in horses, without requiring a particular group skill level.

Église Saint-André and its architecture

Église Saint-André is open to visitors free of charge. Its ground plan is rectangular and elongated. The church underwent extensive renovation in the 14th or 15th century; the south aisle was also built during this period. Fragments of rib vaults resting on pillars with Gothic bases have also been preserved. During your visit, you can view both the elongated layout and individual elements of the vault structure.

The Manoir dit Château Gaye in Malaussanne dates from the 16th century and was remodelled in the 18th and 19th centuries. Its architectural history therefore spans several centuries. The fortified complex at Lassalle has visible inner and outer fortifications. These include a motte and a bailey with farm buildings. The two sites offer different architectural themes: the Manoir focuses on its origins and later alterations, while Lassalle highlights the layout of the fortified complex.
