Spanish Fork combines riverside scenery, culture and sports, with several clearly identified places and events. Spanish Fork City has built a seven-mile paved trail along the Spanish Fork River. The River Trail provides access to the distinctive surroundings of the River Bottoms.

Riverside Scenery and Outdoor Places

The trail’s length and paved surface are useful points of reference; the River Trail is linked to access to the River Bottoms area. There is a small playground at Mountain Country Pavilion, and a reservoir is nearby. These location details offer different options for spending time outdoors.

Culture and Events

Fiesta Days is an annual event and takes place during the week around July 24. Wings & Wheels takes place at Spanish Fork Airport and features classic cars and airplanes. The Festival of Lights is a drive-through display of festive Christmas lights at Canyon View Park. Check event dates before traveling if you have specific plans to attend. The Spanish Fork Fairgrounds hosts rodeos, fairs, concerts, festivals and special events. Fiesta Days provides a fixed point in the calendar; the other events each have their own themes.

Since 1983, the Spanish Fork Community Theater has produced family-friendly community theater. Community members can participate throughout the year on stage, backstage and in production roles. The Spanish Fork DUP Museum is a history museum in Spanish Fork. The museum and theater offer distinct cultural experiences: history and community theater, including opportunities for community members to participate.

Temple Tours and Things to Do in Town

Guided tours are offered daily at the Spanish Fork Krishna Temple from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The temple includes a petting zoo with llamas, cows, peacocks, parrots and koi fish. The tours and petting zoo are different aspects of the same place.

FitCity Center offers swimming pools, gymnasiums, fitness areas, classes, an indoor track, a playground and community rooms. Its range of facilities includes various sports options as well as spaces and activities for community gatherings.

Golf at the Entrance to Spanish Fork Canyon

The Oaks at Spanish Fork is located at the entrance to Spanish Fork Canyon. The 18-hole, par-72 golf course was designed by Billy Casper. The course has a driving range, putting greens and a practice bunker. The number of holes and par describe the course; the three facilities mentioned are practice areas. Golfers can choose between playing a round on the course and practicing at the designated facilities.

Overnight Camping

Spanish Oaks Campground offers overnight camping near Spanish Oaks Reservoir. It operates seasonally and is weather-dependent. Keep this limitation in mind when planning your trip and check the operating season before traveling.
