A paved multi-use trail along a dry creek bed, exhibits on pioneer history, and concerts in the park show how varied a stay in Tooele can be. When planning, you can focus on trails, the history of Tooele County, or a specific event date.
Trails with Different Characteristics
The Skyline Ridge Trail starts at Wigwam Park in Tooele and runs along the mountain north of the Settlement Canyon Reservoir. The England Acres Trail runs through England Acres Park alongside a dry creek bed and is a paved multi-use recreational trail. The trails have different features: the mountain and reservoir are the landmarks along the Skyline Ridge Trail, while the England Acres Trail stands out for its paved surface, multi-use design, and location in the park beside the creek bed. Consider which setting and type of trail you prefer during your stay.
Museums and History
The Tooele Pioneer Museum features exhibits on Indigenous cultures and the pioneer era. Items on display include a covered wagon, a buggy, and other objects from that period. At other times, visits to the Tooele Pioneer Museum are by appointment only. Make arrangements in advance if you plan to visit the museum.
