Tipton offers several specific points of interest to help you plan your trip: water attractions at Laguna Splash Water Park, historic rides at DelGrosso’s Park, and select park specialties. The offerings differ both in the type of experience and in the conditions that apply to individual rides. You can consider the water pools, park history, and train ride separately and decide which topics should take priority during your stay.

Water Attractions and Cabana Rentals

Laguna Splash Water Park includes a lazy river and Wave Oceano. Wave Oceano is a wave pool with a capacity of 312,000 gallons and a water depth ranging from zero to six feet. This means there are two distinct water attractions: the lazy river and a wave pool whose capacity and depth range provide specific guidance. A replica of the Leaning Tower of Pisa is also part of Laguna Splash, adding an architectural point of reference to the water attractions. Operational details for Wave Oceano may change; check them before your visit.

In addition, 37 cabanas can be rented daily at Laguna Splash, weather permitting and while the water park is open. Rentals are also subject to availability. So if a cabana is important for your visit, take both water park operations and availability at your planned time into account.

Rides with Different Histories

At DelGrosso’s Park, the Herschell-Spillman Carouselle is the oldest ride. The Antique Carouselle has a different historical connection: it is the only operating ride that dates from the time when Fred DelGrosso purchased Bland’s Park in the fall of 1946. These descriptions therefore refer to different things: the Herschell-Spillman’s distinction is its place among the park’s rides, while the Antique Carouselle is connected to a specific point in the park’s history. If you want to remember the two names, this distinction provides a clear guide.

Tipton Creek Railroad: Ride and Requirements

The Tipton Creek Railroad offers a relaxing train ride around the Tipton Creek area of the park. Unlike the carousels, the focus here is on a train ride, while the other two rides are each notable for their historical context. Guests under 42 inches tall may ride the railroad when accompanied by a supervising person. A Fun Pass or ride tickets are required. Since ride requirements may change, check them before your visit.

Park Specialties

There are also two specific details to note about food. Pappy Fred’s Pizzeria uses DelGrosso’s signature pizza sauce. Murf’s Famous Potato Salad is one of the park specialties. The details emphasize different things: the sauce at the pizzeria and the potato salad’s status as a park specialty. This lets you factor food into your plans alongside water attractions and rides.
