Running, shopping and sports in Dubai Investments Park
Dubai Investments Park offers different reasons to plan a trip: a date-specific run, shopping and dining at The Market, and park and sports activities. Travel dates are especially important if the Green Run is the deciding factor; The Market, by contrast, is known for shopping and dining. When looking for a holiday apartment, first consider whether a specific event date or a general exploration of the neighbourhood will shape your stay.
Green Run: a past event and a scheduled date
The fourth Dubai Investments Green Run took place on 23 February 2025 in DIP 1, bringing together more than 3,500 runners. The sixth run is scheduled for 21 March 2027 in Dubai Investments Park. The 2025 event is in the past; the 2027 date is planned. If you want to plan your trip around the 2027 event, check the date again before booking.
The Market: shops and dining
The Market in Green Community Dubai Investments Park is a shopping arcade covering 136,233 square feet, with more than 110 shops. It offers international fashion brands, services, cafés and restaurants, a bank, and a supermarket. The number of shops and the specific businesses may change. Along the lakeside streets, The Market offers Italian, French and international cuisine, as well as fast food. If a particular business or type of cuisine is important to your plans, check current offerings before your visit.
Park and football
The public community park opened in DIP 1 in 2022. DIP Soccer Ground has a natural-grass pitch. These local attractions differ from The Market’s commercial focus: park and sports here, shopping and dining there. If you have planned a park visit or use of the pitch, check the latest visitor or booking information beforehand.
More attractions in Dubai
Dubai offers distinctive cultural, scenic and transport-related attractions. Abras operated by the Roads & Transport Authority travel along Dubai Creek for both commutes and leisure trips. Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve includes Al Qudra Lakes and provides a habitat for migratory birds and native bird species. Creek transport and a nature reserve with birdlife therefore offer distinct experiences.
The Dubai Frame offers a perspective on Dubai’s past, present and future. In the historic Al Fahidi neighbourhood, winding lanes lead through the area; a walk there takes in Dubai’s cultural landmarks. These cultural attractions offer a different focus from the landscape and birdlife of Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve.
The Museum of the Future is dedicated to next-generation science, technology and innovation. It has been closed since 1 September 2026 until further notice due to redevelopment. Check its operating status before planning a visit.
