The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk stands on a hill at a viewpoint overlooking the Pesnica Valley. The railway viaduct and its construction history

The Dolnja Počehova railway viaduct was built as part of the Southern Railway section between Graz and Maribor (Celje). Construction began in spring 1844 under the direction of Carl von Ghega and lasted more than two years. The viaduct was 21 metres high and 649 metres long, making it the longest bridging structure on the entire Southern Railway route between Vienna and Trieste. Construction of a new cycling route connection on the Počehova–Zgornja Kungota section was completed in October 2023. These represent two different ways to stay active: tennis at the park and the named cycling route section.
