Podhájska offers several reasons to visit: geothermal water, thermal and wellness facilities, cycling routes and local history. Geothermal Water and Thermal Facilities

Geothermal water was drilled in Podhájska in 1973. At a depth of 1,900 metres, the highly mineralised water reaches temperatures of up to 83°C; its composition is comparable to that of the Dead Sea. Churches and Hody in Podhájska

The Roman Catholic Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary is located on Senčianska Street and was built in 1903–1904. The Roman Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary on Belecká Street was built in 1905–1906. The construction periods are close together and provide two clearly dated examples of local history.

An annual calendar event is also part of the cultural life of this part of the municipality: Hody is held here every year on 11 September. If this date matters for your trip, it is advisable to check the current event programme in advance.

Cycling: Two Different Routes

Cycle route 2103 is a 12 km mountain-bike trail rated “Leisure”. It passes through the cadastral areas of Podhájska and Radava. Cycle route 8107 starts in Podhájska and runs along the thermal baths. The Podhájska information centre is located in the building at the main entrance to the thermal baths complex. There you can get recommendations for attractions, walks, hiking and cycling trails, as well as tips on events and excursions in and around Podhájska.
