Łukęcin combines a sandy beach with a sea cliff and cycling routes that lead in three directions. This gives you two distinct things to focus on during your stay: access to the beach via a forest path, and cycling tours towards Dziwnówek and Kamień Pomorski. The combination of coast and cycling lets you choose between spending time by the water and taking trips to various destinations.

Beach and bathing areas

Łukęcin’s beach is sandy and has a picturesque cliff-lined shore. The sea cliff also forms the village’s natural northern boundary. As a coastal feature and geographical boundary, it provides a clear point of reference for finding your way around Łukęcin. You can reach the beach via a forest path, which involves walking several hundred metres. Factor this walk into your plans for visiting the beach.

Two bathing areas each cover a 100-metre stretch of beach. The Łukęcin “Bajkowa” bathing area is west of the access point on Bajkowa Street; the Łukęcin “Spacerowa” bathing area is west of the access point at the end of Spacerowa Street. At the “Bajkowa” bathing area, lifeguards supervise its 100-metre stretch daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., from 15 June to 31 August. Lifeguard supervision is seasonal. If you are planning specifically to swim in a supervised area, check the arrangements for the year you are travelling. The two street access points provide distinct landmarks for the beach stretches. The stated times apply to the “Bajkowa” stretch and not generally to both bathing areas.

Cycling routes and tours to Kamień Pomorski

Cycling routes from Łukęcin lead in three directions. The longest described cycling route heads towards Dziwnówek and passes through the forest. When planning a specific tour, the route itself is as important as its direction. Check current route conditions before setting out by bike.

One recommended tour runs from Łukęcin to Kamień Pomorski. It passes through the forest towards Dziwnówek, branches off towards Radawka and continues to Wrzosowo; from there, it follows a cycling route to Kamień Pomorski. The sequence of the turn-off, intermediate villages and cycling route provides landmarks for this option.

Another option runs via Dziwnówek and Wrzosowo to Kamień Pomorski. It passes through the forest as far as Dziwnówek, then follows a paved cycling route. The two options therefore differ in the route features they emphasise: the first names the turn-off towards Radawka and the onward route via Wrzosowo; the second highlights the transition from the forest to the paved section after Dziwnówek. This makes it possible to distinguish between the two routes by their respective landmarks and paths.
