Florczaki can be considered as a travel destination through three specific themes: architectural history, cycling and nature. The 18th-century Baroque Church of St. Anthony stands in the town, and a green cycling route passes through Florczaki. A historic wooden bell tower adds to the cultural theme, while Lake Długie lies south of the town in the Jezioro Długie nature reserve. This lets you decide what interests you most when choosing a destination: local history, a cycling route that passes directly through the town, or the natural area south of Florczaki.

Church and architectural history

The 18th-century Baroque Church of St. Anthony is a specific point of reference if you also want to plan your trip around architectural history. The church’s name, its architectural style and its century of origin bring together its dedication, art-historical classification and timeframe. This makes it easy to identify the town’s cultural theme.

A historic wooden bell tower also stands in Florczaki. The church is notable for its style and century, while the tower is notable for its material and historical classification. Together, the two buildings offer different perspectives on the town’s architectural heritage. This gives you a clear distinction when making your choice: you may be more interested in the Baroque church or the historic wooden tower.

Ecological nature trail

In July 2021, labeled plantings around the church were established as a small ecological nature trail. The plantings were accompanied by explanatory signs, making this a different focus from the historic buildings. If you plan to visit the trail, please check the current conditions in advance.

Cycling routes with different connections to the town

The green cycling route is 27.9 kilometers long and runs from Łukta through Dragolice, Florczaki, Nowaczyzna, Swojki, Żabi Róg, Gubity, Kozia Góra, Gucin and Kolonia Mostkowo, before returning to Łukta. Florczaki is therefore directly on this route; Łukta is the starting and return point for the trip.

A second cycling route, 27.3 kilometers long, lies in the area around the destination. It runs from Łukta through Molza, Dąg, Plichta, Tabórz, Niedźwiady, Białka Leśna, Florczaki Kolonia and Ramoty, before returning to Łukta. It is 0.6 kilometers shorter than the green cycling route; however, for choosing between them, the connection to the town matters more than the small difference in length. The 27.9-kilometer route passes through Florczaki, while the other runs through Florczaki Kolonia. Take care to distinguish the similar-sounding names when planning: one route passes through the destination itself, while the second runs through the surrounding area. Check current route conditions before setting out.

Lake Długie south of Florczaki

Lake Długie lies south of Florczaki and is part of the Jezioro Długie nature reserve. This adds a distinct landscape context to the cultural and cycling connections. When deciding on your trip, you can weigh these themes separately: local history, with the church and bell tower; the route through Florczaki; or the natural area south of the town. This also makes it clear geographically which features are in the town and which point of interest lies to the south.
