Suryty lies on a peninsula directly on Lake Blanki. Warmia Suryty offers holiday homes there; two cycling routes also pass through Suryty or return to Suryty. The lake covers about 440 hectares. For orientation, this combines a specific lakeside location with various routes through the surrounding area: a red-marked municipal route and a loop of around 30 kilometres. A kayak route of more than 20 kilometres also runs through Lake Blanki and continues across other bodies of water to Lidzbark Warmiński.

Holiday homes on the peninsula

The grounds of Warmia Suryty have three jetties and a beach. These are guest facilities belonging to the accommodation, not independent public attractions. The location by the lake and the grounds describe two distinct aspects: the holiday homes are directly on Lake Blanki, while the jetties and beach are on the Warmia Suryty property.

Two cycling routes

The red-marked municipal route No. 5 is 32 kilometres long. It runs through Lidzbark Warmiński, Łabno, Jarandowo, Kochanówka, Suryty, Blanki, the Ośrodek „Świteź“ and Medyny, before returning to Lidzbark Warmiński. Suryty is therefore explicitly on a route that connects several places. Both the red marking and the return to Lidzbark Warmiński are useful features for finding your way.

Another option is a cycling loop of about 30 kilometres via Kraszewo, Jarandowo and Lidzbark Warmiński. On the return leg, it passes through Medyny, Kłębowo, Lake Symsar and Blanki to Suryty. The two options thus differ not only in distance—32 kilometres versus about 30—but also in their routes and return points: municipal route No. 5 returns to Lidzbark Warmiński, while the loop returns to Suryty. You can compare the two options by their markings, distance and sequence of places.

The municipal road to Lidzbark Warmiński is also part of the cycling route network: it was resurfaced in 2011 and also served as a cycle path. Check the current route conditions before setting out.

Kayaking and fishing on Lake Blanki

On the water, a kayak route of more than 20 kilometres runs through Lake Blanki. It can begin at the Cape of Blanki and goes via Lake Symsar and Klutajny to Lidzbark Warmiński. With the Cape of Blanki as a possible starting point and Lidzbark Warmiński as the destination, this option follows a different direction from the cycling loop that returns to Suryty. The route connects Lake Blanki with further stretches of water on the way to Lidzbark Warmiński.

Lake Blanki is managed by Gospodarstwo Rybacko-Wędkarskie Olsztyn. Fishing permits cannot be purchased online from this operator. As information about management and permits may change, check the latest details before planning a fishing trip.
