Two clear themes help you get your bearings for a stay in Urowo: three cycling routes pass through the village, and an early medieval Prussian hillfort lies about 1 km south of it. The routes offer a choice of two 25 km options and one 32 km route. The listed sequences of places provide a more specific basis for planning than distance alone.

A Hillfort South of Urowo

The hillfort site lies about 1 km south of the village of Urowo and near the southern shore of Lake Kocioł. It occupies the northern part of a long hill that runs from north-northwest to south-southeast (NNW–SSE). This gives a precise indication of both its location in relation to the village and lake and the shape of the terrain. Those interested in early medieval Prussian history can find a clearly located point of interest close to Urowo.

Three Cycling Routes, Two Distances

All three routes start in Kaletka, pass through Sąpy and Urowo, and return to Kaletka via Urowo and Sąpy. Kaletka is the starting and finishing point for each route, with Urowo along the described route. Two routes are 25 km long, while the third covers 32 km. The two shorter options therefore differ not in total distance but in the places listed and their order.

The first 25 km route runs from Kaletka via Sąpy, Urowo, Mózgowo and Karnity, then back to Mózgowo and on through Wielowieś, Boreczno and Duba. The return journey goes via Urowo and Sąpy to Kaletka. On this option, Mózgowo appears in the route both before and after Karnity.

The second route is also 25 km long. From Kaletka, it runs via Sąpy and Urowo to Duba, Gubławki, Wieprz, Karpowo, Śliwa, Boreczno and Duba again. It then returns to Kaletka via Urowo and Sąpy. Compared with the other 25 km option, this route includes places such as Gubławki, Wieprz, Karpowo and Śliwa in its listed sequence.

The longer route covers 32 km. It runs from Kaletka via Sąpy and Urowo to Boreczno, Śliwa, Janiki Wielkie, Jaśkowo, Wielowieś and Mózgowo. The return journey goes via Urowo and Sąpy to Kaletka. This makes distance a straightforward starting point when choosing a route: this option is 7 km longer than the two 25 km routes.

For a direct comparison, two specific details matter: the distance and the order of the listed places. The 25 km routes cover the same distance, but their listed sections differ; the 32 km route involves a greater distance. Check the current signage and route conditions before setting out.
