A spacious mountain-pass meadow between wooded hills and a listed parish church give Rycerka Górna two distinct focal points. The landscape, hiking trail, cultural history, and built recreational facilities offer several ways to shape your stay around your own interests. Przełęcz Przegibek and Bendoszka Wielka represent different landscape and hiking experiences; the church and PTTK mountain hut bring architectural history into view. There are also two sections of a cycling route with adjoining recreation areas. Nature and culture can both play a decisive role in choosing your destination.

Pass Landscape and Hiking Destination

Przełęcz Przegibek is a spacious meadow on a pass between the wooded hills of Będoszka Wielka and Bania. One of the highest human settlements in the Beskids is located there. The open meadow forms a clear contrast with the wooded heights. This gives you a distinct landscape focus for planning your trip: the pass setting, the open space, and the surroundings of two wooded hills. The settlement on the pass is also part of the local scenery, adding a human-settlement dimension to the landscape.

From both Rycerki, Bendoszka Wielka is most easily reached via the green-marked hiking trail. An observation platform with an information board to help visitors orient themselves in the mountain landscape is also planned for the mountain. The trail and board address two different orientation needs: access to the hill and understanding the mountain landscape. This links a specific hiking option with an orientation feature planned for the future.

Cultural History in Rycerka Górna

The parish church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Rycerka Górna is listed as a historic monument and was built between 1908 and 1911. Its construction period gives the village a precise point of reference in its cultural history. Another is at the summit of Przełęcz Przegibek: the PTTK mountain hut was built in 1923 and modernized several times in later years. Since it is located at the same pass summit, the hut connects a historic point of reference with the pass landscape. The historical details differ: for the church, the focus is on its listed status and construction period; for the hut, on its year of construction and subsequent modernizations. Chronologically, the hut was built after the church.

Cycling Route and Trip Planning

Two sections of a cycling route with adjoining recreation areas have been built in Rycerka Górna. This complements the hiking trail to Bendoszka Wielka with a different focus for activities: one option is access to a named mountain, while the other is a cycling route with recreation areas. When planning, you can decide whether you would rather focus on hiking or cycling. If you plan to use the recreation areas, check their condition before your visit.

When planning your stay, you can first decide which focus matters most to you: the pass landscape, a mountain hike, architectural history, or the cycling route.
