Architecture from Different Eras

The Minor Basilica of St Anthony of Padua in Rybnik is a Neo-Gothic church, built between 1903 and 1906 to a design by architect Ludwik Schneider. Edukatorium Juliusz is located in the former Juliusz hospital complex; the history of this site dates back to the start of work on the hospital complex in 1868. In Wielopole, the wooden Church of St Catherine of Alexandria and Our Lady of the Rosary dates from around 1543. It features Late Gothic ornamental and figurative polychrome paintings. The Corpus Christi Church in Jankowice was probably built around 1670. Its historic furnishings include three pseudo-Baroque altars, a tabernacle from the second half of the 17th century and a Baroque organ dating from around 1700.
