In Lubiatowo, you can tailor your stay to specific interests: the beach and seasonal bathing area, cycling along two routes with different focuses, or a view of the Baltic Sea and forest from an inland dune. These options answer different planning questions. If you’re looking for a beach stay, the beach description and bathing area can help; for a cycling trip, it’s worth comparing the coastal route, forest themes, places along the way and views of the lighthouse. This helps you decide on your main reason for visiting before turning it into a day’s itinerary.

Beach and seasonal bathing area

Lubiatowo’s beach is one of the tourist attractions in the municipality of Choczewo and is known for being wide and sandy. It can be reached on foot through a dune forest. The seasonal Kąpielisko Morskie Lubiatowo (Lubiatowo Sea Bathing Area) lies between beach entrances 43 and 44. The beach and bathing area provide different points of reference: the beach description gives a general impression, while the entrance numbers pinpoint the designated bathing area more precisely. If swimming is important to you, keep in mind that the area is seasonal and check the latest seasonal information in advance.

Cycling routes with different focuses

The blue cycling route is 13 km long and follows the Baltic coast through Lubiatowo and Kopalino. Known as “Trasa niebieska” (“Blue Route”), it provides information about forest topics and the work of foresters in the woods. Coastal scenery and knowledge about forests are two distinct aspects of the same route. If you’d like to include both the coast and forestry topics in your cycling plans, the blue route brings these interests together. Its 13 km length gives you a specific starting point for judging whether the route suits the distance you want to cover on your cycling trip.

The orange cycling route passes through Kopalino, Sasino and Słajszewo; you can see the Stilo Lighthouse along the way. Kopalino is also included on the blue route, providing a place in common between the two. Otherwise, the routes have different focuses: the blue route is defined by a stated length, its coastal course and forest themes; the orange route passes through three named places and offers a view of Stilo. To choose between them, consider whether you’d rather combine the coast with knowledge about forests and forestry, or focus on the places along the way and views of the lighthouse.

Views of the Baltic Sea and forests

The inland dune Wydma Lubiatowska is located near Lubiatowo. Its highest point reaches 35 m above sea level and offers a viewpoint overlooking the Baltic Sea and the surrounding forests. This is a different way to experience the landscape than the cycling routes: rather than following the coast or learning about forestry, the focus here is on views of the sea and forest. If you prefer to take in the landscape from a viewpoint, the dune may be worth considering when choosing your destinations.
