For 2026, a 100-metre-long bathing area is designated at beach access No. 35 in Ostrowo, on provincial road 215. If you travel later, check the seasonal details again. Alongside the beach, nature trails to Bielawa and Kashubian heritage shape what there is to discover in Ostrowo.
Beach and Landscape
Ostrowo lies beyond the Czarna Wda, on the rise known as “Kępa Ostrowska.” The river runs parallel to the seacoast. In the western part of Kępa Ostrowska, a natural spring rises beside the meadow path from Ostrowo to Karwia. These landscape features give the coastal village its own geographical bearings, without treating the beach, river, and rise as one and the same.
Trails and Nature Watching in Bielawa
A five-kilometre educational trail through the Bielawa nature reserve starts at the Ostrowo forestry station. Another trail leads from the centre of Ostrowo to the protected area. When planning, you can therefore distinguish between the explicitly measured educational trail and the route from the village centre.
In the area around the Bielawa educational trail, numerous plant, bird, and animal species are particularly easy to observe from May to October. Bielawa is known as a habitat for cranes and a popular spot for birdwatchers. During bird migration, flocks of cranes, numbering up to several dozen, stop there; their numbers may vary seasonally. These observations refer to the area around the educational trail.
The wooden observation tower offers a distinct highlight: it stands in the Ostrowo forest at the level of the cemetery and overlooks the Bielawskie Błota and the Puck Land. Here, nature watching along the trail is complemented by views of these named landscape areas.
Routes Through Several Places
The blue Nadmorski, or Rozewski, Trail is 28.1 kilometres long and passes through Krokowa, Ostrowo, Jastrzębia Góra, Rozewie, and Władysławowo. The section between Ostrowo and Jastrzębia Góra runs along the edge of the Czarna Wda valley. Compared with the five-kilometre Bielawa educational trail, this route covers a greater distance and passes through a series of named places.
The cycling network also extends beyond Ostrowo: it is 30 kilometres long and runs through seven localities, including Ostrowo. The cycle routes through Ostrowo are connecting sections of R10 in the international EuroVelo 10/13 network. The 30 kilometres and seven localities describe the municipal network; R10, or EuroVelo, identifies the classification of the routes through Ostrowo.
Kashubian Heritage and Exhibitions
The Zagroda Kaszubska at 35 Zabytkowa Street in Ostrowo is a branch of the Muzeum Ziemi Puckiej im. Floriana Ceynowy. The “Pszczelarstwo Pomorskie” exhibition covers the history of beekeeping, the work carried out in the apiary, and the associated beekeeping equipment. Another exhibition at the Zagroda Kaszubska is called “Bielawa”: this open-air exhibition explores the origins and significance of the nature reserve.
Different cultural themes therefore come together in Ostrowo: the history of beekeeping, the development of the protected area, and a historic building. An 18th-century historic cottage also stands in Ostrowo.
