A municipal account from 2024 records that the Dożynki harvest festival is celebrated every year and has been a tradition for many generations. At one Dożynki celebration, the harvest festival procession made its way to the “Stacja Liniewo Pomorskie” site, where the rest of the festivities took place. A Sierpniowy Festyn featured bouncy castles, toy stalls, colourful market stalls and a shooting gallery. The “Iniemamocni” group organised entertainment, games and activities. Three rural women’s associations—KGW Liniewo, KGW Chrztowo and KGW Iłownica—served traditional homemade dishes. The two festivals have different focuses: Dożynki combines harvest festival traditions with a procession, while the Sierpniowy Festyn brings together children’s activities, market stalls and local food.
Pażonka: Nature and the Path to the Lake
Pażonka is a recreational area in Liniewo. A municipal description from 2014 highlights the many interesting plants found there and counts the area among Liniewo’s more interesting places from a natural history perspective; the variety of plants may change. A path to the lake also runs by Pażonka, and its condition should be checked before your visit. Nature observation and the path to the lake offer two different reasons to visit: you can explore Pażonka for its plants or include the path as a specific part of your plans.
Sporting Opportunities
Sports clubs and organised teams can use the Orlik sports field in Liniewo for training, subject to availability and registration with the grounds manager. For a team considering Liniewo as a training location, registering with the grounds manager is therefore an important planning step. Another sporting connection is the “Bieg dookoła Kaszub” race: in 2023, a section of the route ran from Liniewo to Nowa Karczma, and Liniewo Municipality co-organised that section. The race and the sports field thus represent different sporting opportunities: an event route and a training facility that requires registration.
