Reskowo offers two concrete starting points for planning a trip: the town’s historical connections and Cycle Route 6, which includes Reskowo on its circular route. There are also paths in the surrounding area and other activities in the region. This allows you to tailor your choices to what you would like to do during your stay.

Historical connections in Reskowo

A surviving document records that the Pomeranian dukes granted Reskowo, together with its lake, to the church in Chmielno as an endowment. Another historical account concerns the second half of the 16th century, when Reskowo belonged to the Norbertine convent in Żukowo. Both records offer insight into different historical connections of the place.

A flat burial ground from the Early Iron Age is among Reskowo’s archaeological evidence. The town’s history therefore includes an archaeological connection as well as written records.

Cycle Route 6 and paths in the surrounding area

Cycle Route 6 follows a circular route through Chmielno, Kożyczkowo, Cieszenie, Reskowo, Chmielno, Lampa, Zgorzałe and Stężyca. Its length within the Kashubian Landscape Park is 29.5 km. Reskowo is therefore part of a route that connects several places along its course. Before setting off, check the current route information against the trail signage.

The Chmielno–Reskowo Nordic walking route also runs in the surrounding area. It passes fields and forests, then follows the lakeshore, with views of Jezioro Raduńskie Dolne. Your options therefore offer different perspectives: a circular cycling route and a walking route whose description highlights the landscape along the way.

The sights listed along Cycle Route 6 in the wider regional area include viewpoints by the Upper and Lower Raduńskie lakes. You can consider these points as part of the route’s regional context without equating them with the historical connections directly in Reskowo.

Water levels and a regional kayak route

The Łeba kayak route is also an option to consider in the wider region. It is 120 km long in total, with 27.2 km within the Kashubian Landscape Park. The route is considered quite difficult and demanding, and its upper section has the character of a mountain stream. Its practical usability depends on water levels.

At higher water levels, the Łeba is navigable from Jezioro Długie. At medium water levels, Jezioro Sianowskie is the furthest upstream starting point. If you plan to take this kayak route, factor in both the water level and the stated difficulty.

Plan your journey and stay

The municipal timetable lists route 220501 from Borzestowo via Miechucino to Reskowo. Check the timetable for your specific travel date before setting off.

If you are looking for a holiday apartment in Reskowo, the different geographical connections can help you decide what to focus on: the historical information and Cycle Route 6 relate directly to the town, while the Łeba kayak route belongs to the wider regional context.
