The Szlak Zwiniętych Torów cycling route passes through Kozy; the village also has a village park, a manor farm complex and a multi-purpose sports field. These local features offer different points of interest: cycling, historic park and manor-farm structures, and sport. If you are considering Kozy when looking for a holiday apartment, you can first decide which of these interests you most during your stay. For the cycling route in particular, it is worth distinguishing between the section through the municipality and the total length of the route.
Village Park and Historic Estate
Kozy Village Park covers 0.9412 hectares and is part of a historic park estate. This area is equivalent to 9,412 square metres, or just under one hectare. The revitalisation included regulating pedestrian traffic and creating quiet areas. This brings together two practical aspects: moving through the grounds and places to rest. The area given in square metres refers to the village park; the historic park estate is the broader context to which it belongs. The area and its connection to the historic estate thus provide two different points of reference for understanding the park.
Cycling Route: Kozy on the Longer Route
The Szlak Zwiniętych Torów cycling route is 161 kilometres long in total and runs along former railway embankments. This should be distinguished from the 24-kilometre section through the municipality of Czarna Dąbrówka, which passes through Kozy. A new set of route markings for this local section was reported in 2012. The lengths refer to different parts of the route: 161 kilometres is the total route, while 24 kilometres is the section within the municipality. The shorter figure therefore does not give the length of the route in Kozy alone. The former railway embankments describe the basis of the cycling route; the 24 kilometres identify the municipal section through which the route also passes through Kozy.
Manor Farm Complex and Manor House
The manor farm complex comprises a residential area, an agricultural area and a colony of manor farm workers’ houses. The estate therefore extends beyond the manor house itself: the residential and farm areas, together with the workers’ houses, form three distinct parts. The manor house in Kozy is also called a palace and dates from the first quarter of the 20th century. This date refers to the building, while the three areas describe the complex as a whole. The residential and agricultural areas refer to different sides of the manor farm; the colony of workers’ houses adds another group of buildings. Those interested in the village’s architecture can thus distinguish the individually dated house from the multi-part manor farm complex.
Multi-Purpose Sports Field
The multi-purpose sports field was completed on 20 April 2015 and has a polyurethane surface. Its playing area measures 22 × 44 metres; these dimensions give a playing area of 968 square metres. The area refers to the playing field, while the surface is a separate feature of the facility. The sports field adds a sporting aspect to the historic park and manor-farm features. Kozy’s local features can thus be distinguished by type: the park estate, with its area and revitalisation; the manor farm, with its buildings; and the cycling route, with its course and different route lengths.
