Four cycling and walking routes offer different distances in Turawa, ranging from 2.1 to 27.3 kilometres. They also differ in whether they pass through the town, start there, or end at a lake. The town is also home to a palace dating from 1728. When planning, the route’s length, starting point and destination are therefore just as important as its name. This helps you choose a specific route focus and add a cultural destination.

Cycling routes: compare distances and starting points

The red Ozimek–Chrząstowice cycling route is 27.3 kilometres long and passes through Turawa. By contrast, the 15.7-kilometre blue Turawa–Świerkle route starts in Turawa and passes the dam on Jezioro Turawskie. The two routes can therefore be compared in two different ways: Turawa lies along the red route, while it is the starting point for the blue one. The red and blue designations identify the respective cycling routes; their length and course give you further criteria for distinguishing between them.

Two routes to different lakes

The black Turawa–Jezioro Srebrne connecting route is 2.1 kilometres long. It runs from Opolska Street in Turawa via Marszałki to Jezioro Srebrne and is the shortest of the four routes. The 14.1-kilometre walking and cycling path from Opole runs via Zawada and Kotórz Mały through Turawa to the northern shore of Jezioro Turawskie. This path opened in 2023. The two routes therefore differ not only in length, but also in whether they are classified as a cycling route or a walking and cycling path.

The lake destinations are also easy to distinguish: the black connecting route leads to Jezioro Srebrne; the blue route passes the dam on Jezioro Turawskie, while the walking and cycling path reaches its northern shore. If a lake destination is central to your plans, check its exact name alongside the route it belongs to.

Palace and climbing park

The palace in Turawa dates from 1728 and is listed in Poland’s register of monuments. Alongside its routes, the town therefore offers a cultural and historical point of interest. LINOLANDIA climbing park is in Turawa, right on the shore of Jezioro Turawskie. If you plan to visit the park, check its current visiting arrangements in advance.

Plan your stay and find hotels

First decide whether a cycling or walking route, the palace, or LINOLANDIA is the main draw; then compare hotels according to your own requirements. For the routes, the course and destination matter as much as the distance: a route through Turawa answers a different planning question from one that starts in town or reaches the lakeshore.
