Those considering Głosków for its cycling routes and local history can choose between a red-marked route through Głosków-Zielone and a paved cycling path along the narrow-gauge railway. There is also a historic manor park, landscape features, and attractions in Głosków-Letnisko.

Cycling: two different routes

The red hiking trail from Magdalenka to Zalesie Górne passes through Głosków-Zielone at kilometer 15.4 and is suitable for pedestrians and cyclists. The kilometer marker indicates a point on the route, not its total length. Check the current signage before setting out.

Another route is the wide, paved cycling path along the narrow-gauge railway. It begins on Traktorzystów Street in Głosków and ends at the railway crossing where Dobra Street continues in Runów. Its surface and named endpoints help distinguish it from the red-marked route.

Landscape and manor park

Głosków Manor Park, with its tree-lined approach roads, is a 19th-century landscape park. Głosków Manor House is surrounded by the remains of a landscape park. If these historic grounds are part of your plans, check their current condition before visiting.

West of Głosków are fishponds fed by the Głoskówka. The stream is a tributary of the Jeziorka. Aleja Karolińska also runs through the area. Multi-stemmed trees grow there, including 32 silver maples and hornbeams; tree counts and conditions may change.

Local history across several periods

In the early modern period, Głosków was a noble village called Głoskowo. At the time, a local trade route connected the village with Piaseczno and Tarczyn. From the late 18th century, the Głosków estate belonged to Tomasz Michał Dangel and then to his descendants until 1879.

More recent history has several dates, too: The Church of Our Lady Help of Christians in Głosków-Zielone was built from 1976 to 1982. The parish in Głosków, founded by Primate Stefan Wyszyński, began operating in 1981 and was entrusted to the Salesians. The parish therefore began operating while the church was being built. Głosków-Letnisko developed after the Grójecka narrow-gauge railway began operating.

Library and monthly flea market

The Głosków-Letnisko library branch lends books and magazines, audiobooks and films, as well as games and puzzles. Głosków-Letnisko also regularly hosts the Przystaniowy Pchli Targ on the last Saturday of every month. Visitors can sell, trade, or give away items there. Check the specific date and confirm that the event is taking place before visiting.
