The black-marked Chojnowski szlak zabytków przyrody runs through Chojnów. This scenic trail is ideal for hiking and can also be used for cross-country skiing in winter. Pine forests cover much of the route, where old trees are protected as natural monuments. Along the trail, there are also opportunities to observe birds and plants. Several memorial sites to the victims of the Second World War are also located along the route. A hike here therefore brings together nature watching and remembrance on a single trail.

Culture and nature in the wider destination
Piaseczyński also offers destinations for exploring historic architecture. Duke Janusz the Elder had the medieval Gothic castle of Czersk built around the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries on the site of an earlier fortification. At the eastern foot of the castle lies Jezioro Czerskie, a former oxbow lake of the Vistula that is entirely protected as a natural monument. In Piaseczno stands the town hall, built in 1823 in the classical style, which now houses the offices of the Muzeum Piaseczna. The region thus offers a chance to explore a range of historical themes without confusing them with Chojnów’s own attractions.
For nature trails, Chojnowski Landscape Park in Piaseczyński has seven marked hiking trails as well as a network of educational paths for walkers and cyclists. The pond complex at Żabieniec is also a destination for nature watching: among other species, goosanders, black-necked grebes, bearded reedlings and black storks can be spotted there. There is an important rule for visiting the eleven nature reserves in Chojnowski Landscape Park: they may be visited only via existing paths and marked hiking trails.
