In Nasielsk, there is plenty to explore during a stay, from centuries of town history to a 46-kilometre circular cycling route. The Nasielski Dom Edukacji i Historii is dedicated to the history of the town and the microregion associated with it. A red cycling route passes through Nasielsk and crosses the black cycling route there. This gives you different options when planning your visit: cultural history, cycling, or both.

Museum and regional history

Since 15 September 2021, the Nasielski Dom Edukacji i Historii has been a museum run by the Miejsko-Gminna Biblioteka Publiczna w Nasielsku. A library post dated 9 January 2026 describes its aim of documenting and promoting the centuries-old history of Nasielsk and the microregion associated with the town.

The permanent exhibitions span the period from prehistoric times through the Middle Ages to the present day. In a post about its activities in 2025, the library mentions 14 permanent exhibitions on the history of the Nasielsk region. The museum also displays numerous collections on the history of Gmina Nasielsk. The subject matter therefore covers both the history of Nasielsk and its region and that of the municipality.

A total of 2,856 visitors are reported for 2025. They included individual visitors, organised groups, and pupils from schools and kindergartens in Gmina Nasielsk. If you choose Nasielsk for its history, you will find a broad sweep of time here rather than a single historical period.

Button factory, mural and Baszta

One concrete link to industrial history is the button factory founded by Eliezer Charka, also spelled Czarka, on Nasielsk’s main street in 1897. It was among Poland’s earliest button factories. Its founding connects a local company name with an early development in button production nationwide, without requiring a particular route to explore it.

A mural also commemorates the former Nasielska Fabryka Guzików: it was created in autumn 2021 on the wall of a historic building on Warszawska Street in Nasielsk and depicts a woman who once worked at the factory. The image adds a former employee’s story to the history of the factory’s founding. Another feature of local industrial history is the Nasielska “Baszta”: built around 1920, it served as a transformer station.

Cycling around Nasielsk

The red “Szlak 100-lecia Bitwy Warszawskiej” is a 46-kilometre circular cycling route. The municipality describes it as Nasielsk’s most important tourist cycling route. It passes through the town and crosses the black cycling route there.

Check the local signage before setting out, as route conditions may change. The options for choosing your focus are clear: the museum spans a broad sweep of history, while the cycling route’s overall length and its crossing with the black route provide practical guidance for your ride. This lets you explore Nasielsk according to your interest in local history, cycling, or a combination of the two.
