The railway station building in Grodzisk Mazowiecki was built between 1922 and 1924; the station was one of the first stops on the Warsaw–Vienna Railway. Willa Foksal is also connected with this railway: it was designed in 1846 as an elegant inn for travelers.

Villas, Churches and Historic Sites

Willa Radogoszcz is now home to the Willa Radogoszcz Ethnographic Gallery, which offers museum lessons. This connects the gallery’s ethnographic focus with a specific educational program. Those interested in this subject can therefore find both the gallery and a museum education program here.

Willa Kaprys is a summer residence built in 1886. Its historic park features stylized classical sculptures, a plane tree, a hornbeam designated as a natural monument, and a preserved linden avenue. The park brings together landscaped features, individual trees and an avenue, broadening the perspective on the villa’s history.

The garden at Dwór Skarbków also reflects a particular design tradition: it features Baroque elements and includes an area intended for summer concerts. This describes a planned use of the garden, not a concert date. St. Anne’s Church, meanwhile, was built in several stages over a period of 200 years. The Temple of St. Tomasz in Grodzisk is first mentioned in 1355.

In Adamowizna stands Dworek Adama Chełmońskiego, a manor house dating from the mid-19th century that was relocated in 1900. Another historic building type can be seen in Dr. Michał Bojasiński’s hydrotherapy establishment, which opened in 1884: it was designed as a clinic, sanatorium and hotel. Its park included an orangery and winter gardens. These functions and park features are part of the site’s history.

Landscape, Trails and Water

In the southern part of Grodzisk Mazowiecki municipality, 1,506 hectares are part of the Warsaw Protected Landscape Area. The Mrowna is a local watercourse about 22 kilometers long. The blue “Śladami Chełmońskiego” hiking trail also runs through the southern part of the municipality. As trail conditions can change, check the latest conditions before setting out.

There is a designated swimming area at Stawy Walczewskiego. Swimming conditions vary by season, so check them before your trip. A seasonal watersports equipment rental service is also available there; check its current operating conditions in advance. This lets you plan around seasonal offerings without assuming that specific equipment is available or that the service operates year-round.
