When planning a trip to Slawa, you can distinguish between three main themes: cultural history, waterside activities and active leisure. The locations differ in what they offer—from a palace in a landscaped park to beaches, architecture, hiking trails and sports facilities. This lets you plan your time around the experiences that matter to you.

By the water: beaches and a regional perspective

Plaża Miejska in Sława is a supervised bathing beach on Jezioro Sławskie and has a water park with inflatable obstacles. A second, new beach in Sława covers 7,000 square metres of sand and recreational space. The two beaches therefore offer different features: lifeguard supervision and a water park at Plaża Miejska, and a specified area of sand and recreational space at the second beach. You can choose according to which of these features matters more to you for a day at the beach.

The area around the destination is also part of a larger waterway network: Jezioro Sławskie and the Obrzyca form the starting point of the approximately 200-kilometre Lubuski Szlak Wodny. If you are interested in regional waterways as well as individual lakeside locations, this offers another perspective on the area.

Culture across landscapes, architectural history and a figurative motif

Rechenberg Palace in Sława stands on the shore of Jezioro Sławskie and is surrounded by a landscaped park. The Church of the Divine Mercy was built as a Protestant church between 1834 and 1836 to a design by Karl Friedrich Schinkel. In the New Market Square stands the Witosława Fountain, featuring a seated figure of Witosława on a granite boulder. The three places offer different perspectives: the palace’s setting within the landscape, the church’s architectural history and a single figurative motif in the square. This lets you choose between an interest in history and one focused more on design when planning your cultural activities.

Active activities in different formats

WakePark Sława is a wakeboard cable system over 170 metres long, with obstacles for performing sports manoeuvres. Park Linowy Bonobo offers four elevated courses with walkways, bridges, tunnels and zip lines; instructors supervise the facility. The difference is in the format: wakeboard manoeuvres on the cable system or courses featuring a variety of elements under supervision. The course layout may change; check the current configuration before your visit.

The yellow and green hiking trails cross in Sławski Park. The recreational area on Ogrodowa Street combines a roller-skating rink with a traffic education park; covered seating areas and bicycle racks are also available. Alongside the two sports facilities, you can also choose other forms of active leisure, including hiking trails and an area with a roller-skating rink and traffic education facilities.

Events throughout the year

Dni Sławy is an annual tradition held on the first weekend of August, featuring numerous cultural events and sailing regattas. If you would like to time your trip to coincide with that weekend, check the current programme in advance.
