In Słubice, reasons to visit range from cycling routes and historic sites to sports facilities. The observation tower is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. As opening hours may change, check the times before your visit.

Cycling tours from Słubice

The two official cycling routes start at the bridge connecting Słubice with Frankfurt an der Oder. The Słubicka Pętla Rowerowa is approximately 45 kilometres long. The Słubice–Urad cycling route covers about 22 kilometres and leads from Słubice towards the municipality of Cybinka along the Oder Valley. Based on the stated distances, Słubice–Urad is the shorter of the two routes; the Pętla is approximately twice as long. You can therefore consider route length as a specific difference when making your choice.

In the wider Słubicki destination area, a three-kilometre recreational cycling route also leads from ul. Sportowa in Słubice towards Drzecin. It connects to a one-kilometre cycle path to Kunowice. This route adds another described option for getting around by bike to the longer routes.

Walking paths, views and activity

Park Rozrywki i Rekreacji has extensive walking paths and viewing terraces with beautiful views. Alongside the cycling routes, walking paths are another way to discover Słubice. There is a skatepark with a modular pump track at the bus station.

Right next to the observation tower in Słubice, in the wider Słubicki destination area, is a recreation area with covered picnic shelters and an educational playground. The tower and recreation area offer different points of interest for planning: the views and the leisure facilities described. Be sure to check the tower’s opening hours separately.

Jewish heritage and Ostmark Stadium

The Jewish cemetery on Transportowa Street is one of the oldest Jewish cemeteries in Europe. Its first written mention dates from 2 July 1399. Anyone interested in the history of the place will find a specific historical point of interest here in Słubice.

Ostmark Stadium opened on 27 May 1927 and has been a listed monument since 2014. It also has six running tracks and facilities for football, golf, tennis and beach volleyball. In winter, there is also an ice rink. The stadium’s history and the sports facilities listed offer two different reasons to include it in your travel plans.

Cultural events in the wider Słubicki destination area

The wider Słubicki destination area also has recurring cultural events. In spring, classical music can be heard in Słubice and Frankfurt an der Oder at the annual Dni Muzyki nad Odrą. In July, the two cities jointly host Miejskie Święto Hanzy; the event attracts around 100,000 people from Poland and Germany. In autumn, artists from around the world perform at the international festival of singer-songwriters, transVOCALE.

The different themes can help you decide what to focus on during your stay without having to follow a set itinerary.
