Kacza Górka Park is a 14.5-hectare green space with a body of water, intended for walks and relaxation. In Neusalz, these peaceful activities go hand in hand with cycling routes, water sports and cultural offerings. You can shape your stay around different interests without limiting yourself to just one way of exploring.

Green Spaces, Cycling Routes and Activities

Nadodrzański Recreational Park is associated with active recreation. This distinguishes the stated focus of the two green spaces: walks and relaxation are explicitly part of how Kacza Górka is used, while Nadodrzański Recreational Park is linked to active leisure.

The cycling routes also offer different points of reference. The yellow Czarciego Kamienia cycling route is 65 kilometres long and starts and ends in Nowa Sól. The “Kolej na rower” cycling route covers about 58 kilometres and includes the Stypułów–Nowa Sól and Nowa Sól–Sławocin sections, which are connected by a network of urban cycling routes. The difference is therefore not just the distance: the first route has its start and end point in the city, while the second comprises two named sections connected by the urban cycling network.

There are several specific options for BMX. The BMX racing track in Nowa Sól is 360 metres long. The BMX skatepark has a BMX track considered one of the largest in Poland and meets Olympic standards. Linowy Park has several courses with different levels of difficulty. WakePark offers wakeboarding as a water sport. The options therefore range from cycling routes with named sections to individual sports facilities and water sports.

The Oder and Practical Information

Excursion boats dock at the port of Nowa Sól, offering trips on the Oder as part of the network of tourist ports in Nowa Sól, Cigacice, Bytom Odrzański and Głogów. If you are planning a trip, check the latest dates and sailing options in advance. The “Visit Nowa Sól” Tourist Information Centre is at 2 Korzeniowskiego Street, near the port and the Oder.

The PKP Nowa Sól complex is in the city centre, with city buses and taxis right next to it. If you want to coordinate your onward journey with one of these modes of transport, it is worth checking the latest connections.

Museum, Events and Special Discoveries

The Muzeum Miejskie features the permanent exhibition “Wnętrza mieszczańskie.” Its education department organises museum lessons, workshops, educational trails and guided tours. It also works with local educational institutions and prepares annual competitions for children and school students. These offerings are therefore also relevant to the city’s education sector.

The Muzeum Miejskie’s “Noc Muzeów” traditionally takes place on Friday evenings. If you are travelling specifically to attend, check the dates in advance. Magazyn Solny is a venue for cultural events and social initiatives. Soluś stands in Park Krasnala and is described as the world’s largest dwarf; it is listed in the Guinness Book of Records. The museum, venue and park thus offer different highlights: from a permanent exhibition and cultural events to a well-known figure in the urban landscape.

Neusalz in its Regional Context

The city’s place in Nowa Sól County adds another dimension: most of the county’s hiking and cycling routes pass through Nowa Sól. The city is also known for its rich history and interesting architecture.
