A historic park, cultural events at the Public Library and a sports complex showcase different sides of Radwanice. When deciding whether to visit, consider whether park history and nature, cultural events or sports facilities are your main priority.

Park History and Nature

The park was laid out in the late 18th or early 19th century next to a palace, with a kitchen garden and pond. The palace no longer exists. Today, the park is used for educational purposes and recreation; a nature trail starts at the northern entrance to the park. Its history is thus combined with uses that include both learning and recreation.

Two white poplars of monumental size grow in the southeastern part. Mallards and squirrels live in the park, and pheasants are also found there. Alongside its history, the park offers specific natural points of interest: a clearly located group of trees and several animal species. For nature-loving travellers, it offers both historical and biological points of connection.

History and Culture

The Church of Our Lady of the Rosary in Radwanice was built by Protestants in 1939. It adds a distinct historical note alongside the park, which dates from the late 18th or early 19th century: these two local landmarks point to different periods. If you are interested in Radwanice’s history, keeping this distinction in mind helps you consider the older park setting and the 1939 church building separately.

The Public Library in Radwanice hosts author events and organises painting and photography exhibitions. The author events focus on literature, while the exhibitions feature painting and photography. If you would like to include one of these events in your travel plans, check in advance whether a meeting or exhibition is taking place during your stay; the date is key for this programme.

The library also offers library classes for children and young people in cooperation with a school and a kindergarten. This educational programme has a specifically stated target group and differs from events devoted to literature and visual art. The library’s programme therefore includes both cultural events and educational activities for young people.

Sports Facilities

The sports complex includes a football pitch of standard size and a stand with 370 seats. There is also an artificial-turf pitch, a tarmac basketball court, a beach volleyball court, a tennis court and an outdoor fitness area. The artificial-turf pitch and the tarmac court are separate facilities; basketball is played on the tarmac court.

The standard-size pitch and the stand with 370 seats are specific features of the complex. The other facilities complement them with additional sports and opportunities to exercise outdoors. This is a useful distinction when planning your trip: Radwanice offers more than a single football pitch, with a range of facilities for different sports.
