At the manor house in Gębczyce, stone herms survive on either side of the doorway; the original sgraffito decoration is visible beneath the plaster. The hiking trails also give trip planning a clear focus: the green Wzgórza Strzelińskie trail passes through Gębczyce, while a short detour from the yellow trail leads to the Marienstein granite boulder.

At the manor house: two façade details

The herms and the sgraffito represent different design elements on the façade: the stone forms on either side of the doorway, and the original decoration visible beneath the plaster. Anyone interested in architecture can focus on these two specific details rather than seeing the manor house only as a single, unified image.

Hiking trails: through the village or to Marienstein

The two trail options help you choose what to focus on. The green trail passes through Gębczyce; the yellow trail is described as having a short detour to the Marienstein granite boulder. The options therefore differ in their destinations: crossing the village on the one hand, and a boulder as the destination of the detour on the other. PTTK marks and maintains hiking trails; as trail conditions can change, it is a good idea to check the current situation before setting out.
