More than 150 kilometers of hiking trails are marked throughout the powiat. In the Bóbr Valley Landscape Park and its buffer zone, there are also three popular hiking trails with a combined length of about 100 kilometers. These figures describe different scales: the marked trail network across the powiat and the three trails within the landscape park area. For a specific route, consider the trail from Lwówek Śląski to Góra Heleny. It is almost 16 kilometers long and takes about four hours to walk.
Cycling routes from short rides to longer loops
The cycling routes mentioned also range from a shorter connection to larger loops. The cycle path from Lwówek Śl. to Pławna is seven kilometers long. A loop around Lwówek Śląski covers 49 kilometers, has varying levels of difficulty, and takes about five hours. As a longer option, the 93-kilometer red cycle route loops around Powiat lwówecki and passes through all five towns in the powiat. These distances let you compare a shorter connection, a loop around the town, and a ride through the powiat; an approximate duration is given only for the loop around Lwówek Śląski.
Another option is the cross-border ER-6 cycle route between Žaclerz in the Czech Republic and Bolesławiec, which passes through Powiat lwówecki. It can be considered as a separate route option alongside the routes around Lwówek Śląski and the red loop.
Rivers, reservoir, and water-engineering history
The Bóbr and Kwisa rivers offer attractive stretches for kayaking in Powiat lwówecki.
