Łomnica offers several ways to explore its history: a guided tour of the park and manor, a multimedia exhibition on the history of the palace, and a meeting place with an exhibition about prayer houses in Lower Silesia. There are also markets held regularly at different times of year. When planning your visit, it is worth distinguishing between an independent museum visit, a reserved group tour and a visit timed to coincide with specific market dates.

Explore the manor and museum in different ways

The tour of the Łomnica estate is offered to groups. Participants walk through particularly interesting parts of the park and manor, while the guide explains their functions and history. Groups must reserve a date and time in advance. If you are visiting Łomnica as a group and would like to learn more about the use and history of these areas, be sure to plan the tour with an advance reservation.

The museum can also be visited independently. Individual visitors do not need to book in advance and can come to the museum ticket office during opening hours. Check the current opening hours before your visit. Different conditions apply to groups: they must reserve a date and time in advance. This lets you choose the type of visit that suits you, depending on whether you are travelling alone or in a group.

Exhibitions and attractions in Łomnica

The Łomnica museum complex includes the museum in the palace and the “Dom Modlitwy” (House of Prayer) meeting place. The multimedia exhibition “Trzy wieki życia w Pałacu Łomnica” (Three Centuries of Life in Łomnica Palace) takes visitors through 18 rooms and presents the history of the palace. The historic, reconstructed “Dom Modlitwy” in the park houses an exhibition on the history of prayer houses in Lower Silesia. The venue also serves as a meeting place. Both exhibitions are open daily; nevertheless, check the current visitor arrangements before your trip.

The exhibitions focus on different subjects: one takes you through the rooms of the palace and its history, while the other explores the history of prayer houses in Lower Silesia. Other attractions in Łomnica include “Dom Wdowy” (the Widow’s House) and the von Küster family palace.

Plan markets and shopping around the seasons

Markets are held regularly on the grounds of Pałac Łomnica at different times of year: the Spring Market, the Harvest Festival Market and the Advent Market. Each of the three events offers a different seasonal reason to visit Łomnica. If you are planning your visit around a market, check the specific event dates in advance. The fact that these markets recur regularly does not mean that a particular market will take place on any travel date you choose.

There are also two different shopping options on the estate. Lniany Dom Towarowy (the Linen Department Store) stocks linen clothing, home textiles, accessories, linen fabrics and linen cosmetics. The farm shop offers regional products and local handicrafts. You can therefore choose between browsing linen goods and shopping for regional products or handicrafts. The range may change, so check the current selection in advance if you are planning a specific purchase.

Your interests and specific visit dates are therefore the main factors when choosing your stay: would you like to explore the history of the palace through the multimedia exhibition, are you interested in the exhibition at “Dom Modlitwy,” or are you planning your visit around one of the markets? A group tour also requires a reservation. Check opening hours, visitor arrangements and market dates in good time so that your plans match the experiences you want.
