When planning, it is therefore important to distinguish Sugapa as a destination from natural or travel destinations elsewhere in Intan Jaya Regency.

Ugimba: Tourism and Culture

Kampung Wisata Ugimba was established in 2014 in Kabupaten Intan Jaya as a Desa Wisata, or tourism village. A sustainable tourism program was intended to strengthen the local community. A 2015 travel description also mentions the possibility of Ugimba residents holding the traditional Bakar Batu ceremony for tourists.
