Check in advance whether the tour is available on your travel dates.

Kos as a wider travel destination

If you plan to explore beyond Marmari during your trip to Kos, there are other activities and culinary experiences to consider. Kos has cycling routes for all ability levels, ranging from completely flat to hilly and mixed, as well as unpaved and steep. This range offers different route profiles to choose from.

At 846 meters, Mount Dikeos is the highest mountain on Kos. A well-maintained and signposted hiking trail starts in Zia. The Psalidi area also brings together a variety of attractions: all kinds of water sports are available there. The Psalidi wetland is a seasonal refuge for migratory birds, with lush vegetation and established paths for wildlife observation. Across the island, almost every beach has facilities for water sports and water-based leisure activities.

Local KTEL buses are also useful for getting around Kos: they operate from every settlement on the island, with numerous regular services to Kos Town. This adds a wider island context to the travel options mentioned for Marmari.

Food and drink on Kos

Kos also offers opportunities for culinary discoveries. Visitors can tour beekeeping businesses on the island, taste honey, and learn about the production process firsthand. Kos Krasotyri is a white cheese made from sheep’s or goat’s milk and protected as a PDO product. It matures for at least one month in grape pomace. This makes it possible to include local products and a visit to a beekeeping business in your itinerary as distinct experiences alongside water sports, cycling, and nature watching.
